Ableism within the disability community

Sometimes people assume that all people living with disabilities are friends. Others assume that people with disabilities won’t exploit or cause harm to another disabled person. Certainly not true. Because at the end of the day, we’re all human beings. Unique. And living with a disability doesn’t make you a good person. It depends on what you do with your life, the kind of person you are… in other words, living with a disability doesn’t give someone a free pass. It should give them equal rights. And with the equal rights comes responsibility.
